At Running Away Multisport we sell bikes a little different then most other bike shops.  Instead of selling the bikes first, we sell the fit first, making sure that the customer is getting the correct bike, set up in the correct position, to maximize both their abilities and enjoyment.  To that end, Running Away Multisport is proud to have been the first bike shop in the world to utilize the Guru Dynamic Fit Unit and is equally proud to be the only shop with two DFU’s and the only one in the Chicagoland area to utilize this groundbreaking technology.

The DFU is the only computer controlled, fully robotic fit bike available.  It allows the fitter to move a rider 1mm at a time in any direction while the rider is pedaling; therefore the rider is able to feel instantaneous feed back and does not have to get on and off the bike while changes are being made.  The proprietary DFU software also allows the fitter to save multiple positions and toggle back and forth between those positions to once again provide immediate feedback.  In addition, the DFU is hooked up to a Computrainer, allowing the fitter to analyze the riders power output and pedal stroke.  Combine this with the MaxTraq Motion Capture camera system, which measures the riders’ position dynamically while they pedal, and you have the most comprehensive fit studio available.
